NYCU’s vision: Youth are an integral part of society and take an active and equal part in shaping the civic and political life of Ukraine and the world.
The main purpose of NYCU: to consolidate and develop democratic youth organizations in Ukraine to protect and represent the interests of young people at national and international levels.

NYCU’s mission:
to represent and protect the civil, political, social and economic rights of Ukrainian youth, to enhance the opportunities for personal development and active participation of young people in social and political life.

NYCU’s strategic priorities:
– uniting youth of Ukraine
– protection of rights, representation of the interests of youth, youth organisations of Ukraine at national and international levels
– involvement of youth in decision-making processes at the local, national and international levels;
- involvement of young people in active social activities;
- promoting the development of youth organizations;
- participation of youth in establishing and maintaining peace in Ukraine;
- promoting the establishment and development of democracy in Ukraine.

The tasks of the UNION are:
– development of a cross-sectoral approach in youth policy;
– удосконалення законодавства щодо молодіжної політики та прав молоді;
– створення та розвиток професійної сфери діяльності молодіжної політики, професії “молодіжного працівника”;
– розвиток міжкультурного та соціального діалогу серед молоді;
– протидія дискримінації та сприяння становленню рівності прав та можливостей для кожної молодої людини;
– створення умов для консолідації молодіжних організацій на місцевому та регіональному рівнях та їх участі в процесах прийняття рішень;
– розвиток співпраці з громадськими організаціями, інституціями, органами влади, засобами масової інформації та іншими юридичними особами;
– розвиток співпраці з іноземними та міжнародними організаціями та інституціями;
– розробка інформаційних, аналітичних, освітніх матеріалів;
– проведення досліджень у сфері молодіжної політики;
– створення центру обміну ресурсами між організаціями-членами СПІЛКИ;
– надання ресурсної допомоги організаціям-членам СПІЛКИ;
– популяризація української культури серед молоді;
– проведення освітніх, культурних, наукових, розважальних, спортивних заходів.
