To be a member of the National Youth Council of Ukraine is to:
- Active participation in the development of youth organizations in Ukraine.
- Influence on state programs for youth at different levels.
- Joint development of youth policy at the national and local levels, cooperation with other youth organizations and partners in Europe.
- Participation in key events for young people in Ukraine, Europe and the world, development of competencies through training courses and access to relevant information and resources.
- Using the resources of partner organizations and institutions to support activities.
The process of becoming a member of the NYCU
To acquire the status of a full member of the UNION, a public organization must meet the following requirements:
- to be a non-profit organization
- be at least one year in the status of an associate member of the UNION
- have at least one year from the date of state registration as a public organization
- during the year preceding the date of submission of the application for the acquisition of the status of a full member of the UNION, to participate in at least one project in cooperation with the "NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF UKRAINE"
- to have representative offices in at least 5 regions of Ukraine
- hold at least 1 event per year in at least 5 representative offices
- during the year, have at least five public actions or one long-term project, designed for min. for 200 people
- have an active web page
- submit a report on the organization's work for 1 year in an arbitrary form (no more than 3 pages)
- Copies of founding documents (copy of the registration certificate, copy of the Statute, copy of the document on obtaining the status of a non-profit organization).
To acquire the status of an associate member of the UNION with the right to acquire full membership:
- the status of a public organisation
- to be a non-profit organization
- have two recommendations of the established model, approved by the UNION Council, from two other NGOs - members of the UNION, with a minimum of 2 years from the date of registration as a legal entity;
- during the year preceding the date of submission of the application for the status of an associate member of the UNION, have at least three public actions or one long-term project, calculated min. for 100 people;
- have an active page in social networks or a website;
In order to become a member of the National Youth Council of Ukraine, it is necessary to fill out a questionnaire and application and submit the following package of documents:
- Activities for the last 2 years with references to your organization's activities in social networks, mass media (no more than 3 pages).
- Copies of founding documents (copy of registration certificate).
- A copy of the Charter.
- A copy of the document on obtaining the status of a non-profit organization.
- The decision of the governing body of the NGO to join the NYCU
